Pier 1

I stopped at Pier 1 on Wolf Road in Colonie, yesterday at lunch time as I am shopping for new dishes and found an AMAZING deal. The multistripe set of 16 (4 plates, 4 salad plates, 4 coffee mugs, and 4 salad bowls) for $8.68, marked down from $34.99. What a savings I must say! The only downfall, they only had 2 boxes, though "Carol", the store clerk, was nice enough to call their Clifton Park store to see if they had any and guess what - they did! So, being the nice wife that I am, I called my darling husband, Danny, and asked him ever so politely to go after work and pick them up, which he did.

I also picked up 5 large pasta bowls at the clearance price of $2.98 each.

Can you guess what I did last night and this am? Yup, cleaned out my cabinet, unloaded my dishwasher from last night's dishes and loaded my 3 sets of new multistripe dishes and started it up! I can't wait to get home from work today to put away my new dishes.

I have had my grandmother's china as our dishes for years now and I am feeling anxious to be able to use these new dishes and not have to wash every single one by hand! Yippee...
