Cook's Ham Giveaway: 48 hours (ends 3/28 10:59pm)

As previously mentioned I attended my first ever Cook's Ham blogger conference at Price Chopper Supermarket in Latham, New York.  I met a bunch of ladies from Price Chopper, Cook's Ham and 8 other bloggers like me.  I learned much more than I thought I knew about ham, and the variety of recipes I can make out of 1 ham (leftovers that is).

Easter is fast approaching and Cook's Ham is providing 2 of my readers with a coupon for a FREE ham (up to $30).  Their ham's are delicious, my mouth is watering just thinking about it.

RULES FOR GIVEAWAY:

Leave a Comment below on the following to be entered:

1. Main Entry.  Visit Ham Ideas and tell me what recipes you would like to try.

2.  Bonus Entry.  Share your favorite recipes that can be made using ham left overs in a separate comment.

3.  Bonus Entry.  Something I learned at the conference was how many meals (and the variety of meals) I could make out of leftovers of 1 spiral ham.  Indicate how many meals you can make from one spiral ham, and tell me what they are, in a separate comment.

4.  Bonus Entry – Subscribe to my RSS feed, (or let me know if you already are) in a separate comment.

5.  Bonus Entry - post about this giveaway on your blog and come back and let me know.

2 lucky readers will win a coupon good for a free Cook's Ham product up to $30.  The winner will be chosen using random.org and contacted via e-mail, so please leave a valid e-mail address.  Once the giveaway has closed, you will have 48 hours to claim your prize.  If you have not responded within that timeframe, another winner will be chosen.  Open to U.S. residents only.

Disclaimer:  Cook’s Ham and Price Chopper invited me to be a part of this blogging event. I was not compensated for attending or giving my opinion, but received sample items, groceries and flowers from Cook's Ham and Price Chopper. Cook’s Ham is providing the two coupons for this giveaway.

After a ham dinner, I always make hams salad and sometimes scalloped potatoes and ham, or ham and spinach quiche

Try this great Ham and spinache Quiche:
4 eggs beaten
4 oz cheddar cheese
1 cup chopped ham
1 box frozen, defrosted chopped spinache
1 can evaporated milk

Place cheese on bottom of unbaked pie shell. Mix all other ingredients and pour over cheese. Bake for an hour

The Vanilla Scented Sweet Potatoes and Baked Spiral Sliced Ham with Sugar & Spice Pecan Rub both sound like fabulous dishes to try!

As far as leftovers, I usually get at least 4-5 meals out of a ham: the first ham dinner, ham and cheese omelets, grilled ham and cheese sandwiches with roasted peppers, a creamy ham and asparagus risotto casserole and the time tested ham and potato soup or the good ol' ham hock split pea soup.
