Suddenly "Greek" Salad: Review & Giveaway

It's summer time and with that comes gatherings, whether they be your family in the backyard, picnics at the park, or cook-outs at friends or family house.  Those gatherings are all coupled with food - and your typical summertime food is salads.

I love to cook, though at times I find that after working 8 hours out of the home, I really don't want to have to come home and have to cook all night.  This past weekend, Memorial Weekend, we had parties and gatherings all weekend, and for those, I contributed cooking.  One thing I made was Suddenly Salad:  Greek Pasta.  This is a new version, one that I may not have ever chosen if I wasn't given the opportunity to try it.

The salad was easy to make: boil water, add pasta, cook till done.  How quick is that!  In a separate bowl, add the seasoning packet, water and olive oil.  When the pasta is done, rinse with cold water and add to seasonings - chill in the fridge until ready to eat.  Those are the directions on the box, and of course, there are suggestions for add-ins to the salad, or you can create your own.  The best part of this is most of the time, stores will have these boxes on sale for just $1.00.  Where can you go to get the basic ingredients all for under $1.00?

I followed the directions on the box and I added extras on my own.  I love making salads, especially a pasta salad, because this is the time I get to go through my fridge and add things that may be at the end of life, though still good to eat.  WOW, that doesn't sound so great does it.  Ok, let me rephrase that - I don't want to waste any food! There, sounds better, doesn't it?

Ok, so I added cut up swiss cheese, tomatoes and red onion - yummy!!  It was super delicious.  We had our family over for a cookout on Memorial Day and we served this easy to make, and ever so delicious Suddenly Salad Greek Pasta Salad.
