AROUND THE HOUSE by Maggie G - MUSIC FOR CREATIVE KIDS: Volume 1 {Review & Giveaway}

There are so many genras of music these days, so I like to hear what my kids listen to (and understand it for that matter).  It seems music these days, on the radio, is getting more riskier by the day.  That is not something I really care for my children to hear, though they do as I unfortunately cannot monitor what they listen to when they are not with me. 

I received Music For Creative Kids, Volume 1 "Around The House" by Maggie G.  This cd is specifically made for kids ages 3 - 8.  Perfect because my two girls are 3 and 8!  I decided to listen to this cd first and played it in my car cd player on the way to work.  Believe it or not, it was rather catchy - the tunes made my fingers thump on the steering wheel and my feet at times, foot tapping lightly to the beat.  I knew right away my girls would love it.

On the way home from work, yup, you guessed it, I quickly turned it on to finish listening to it.  I amuse myself sometimes!

When I walked in the door, Emma was waiting anxiously for me. I told her I had something for her and her eyes quickly lit up.   "What is it momma, she quickly asked?"  I told her a new music cd and asked if she wanted to go into Kylie's room and listen to it on her radio.  So, in we went.  Once the music started playing, we all started dancing, even Molly our dog, was joining in on the fun.  I knew we would be listening to this cd A LOT!

This cd is perfect.  The songs encourage safe play, teamwork, helping Mom, and fun activities to do at home.  To turn the tv off, get up and dance.  I loved all of the songs and so did my girls.  This is a definite play in the car and in the home.  It got all of us up and dancing - we had quite the fun.  I wish we all could pick a favorite, though we can't because they all are catchy and fun and we enjoy singing and dancing to all of them.

Memorable melodies, kid-friendly lyrics, sing-a-long choruses and a cross-section of timeless musical styles make this CD a wonderful musical companion for parents, educators anmd children alike."

The CD offers 18 original songs, "In Concert" coloring poster to personalize, along with links to musical activities including play along guitar chords, contest, lyrics, karaoke and so much more.
