Kohl's $5.00 Coupons = Savings!

I am a HUGE proponent of coupons - whether it be for a grocery store, sporting goods store, clothing store, etc., you name it, I will have a coupon for it!

Kohl's provides a $5.00 coupon when you sign up for their updates via a valid email address. This is a huge savings! $5.00 of free money just for providing your email address. Now, remember in previous posts I mentioned that I have a separate email address for accounts such as these. You can also set up a FREE account with numerous providers such as Gmail, AOL, Yahoo, just to name a few.

The following picture are products that I purchased at Kohl’s with my $5.00 off coupons. I used a $5.00 coupon for each item (separate purchases) to minimize the income coming out of my pocket. FYI - some cashiers will do this, others will not. (The items purchased were a shower curtain, floral rug, 1 floral bath towel, 2 striped bath towels, 2 striped hand towels.)

The total cost paid for everything pictured was $18.94, total savings (ready for this - drumroll please) $137.39 (that is a savings of $118.45). Now, I just need to go to the paint store and pick up a quart of one of the colors in the decor and paint a wall or half wall or something in my bathroom to coordinate everything. How exciting! Or, if I choose not to use the decor, this would be a great, and inexpensive, gift to give someone for a housewarming gift (just have to hope that it is their style).

Did you also know you can purchase Kohl’s $5.00 coupons off of ebay? Since I have exhausted all of my email addresses, this is how I obtain savings for future purchases. They usually go on sale for .99¢ for 20 coupons (yes, 20 $5.00 off coupons all with different valid email addresses). Remember to log in to your e-bay account and don’t bid until seconds before the deadline, that’s when you bid, then you have to confirm your bid and hopefully your the highest bidder! Good luck!

ebay

I did it!  I really, really did.   I just bought coupons off of ebay!  Well, I actually bid and won, though I am kind of skeptical about the transaction, moreso the delivery of the coupons.

I logged into my ebay account, yes I have one (and so should you if you don't already - there are tons of stuff on there that you can really scope a great deal on).  Then, I did a search for "coupons" and boy were there lots.  On the first page though there were a bunch for 20 $5 off $5 purchase for Kohl's.  I thought why not, what do I have to lose?  Well, I would if someone else bid, but since I was the only one I won!  The downfall is, the expiration date of the coupon is the 20th of February, which is only 6 days away and since there is no mail delivery tomorrow, Presidents Day, I lose yet another day of mail delivery.  PLUS, who knows if Kohls will allow me to do 20 transactions.  I am assuming, like other stores, it is up to the stores discretion, plus if I have 20 separate transactions to do and there is a line, they may decline me.  PLUS, who knows if the coupons even work.  I am hoping so because the seller is a "Top Rated Seller", so if not, there will definately be negative feedback and that may hurt her chances of selling, which over a .99 sale, I don't think she would be willing to do.

I am very excited about this.  20 $5 off $5 purchase coupons.  WOW, this will be so easy for me to do.  Which room shall I finish?  Which one of my 3 kids shall I buy for?  Shall I buy myself something?  Decisions, decisions, decisions.....

Hmmmm, only 20 coupons, that means only 20 items - jeez, and I am sure I can buy so much more!  We will see.

I will update you once my coupons arrive and I go shopping.  I will post pictures of what I buy, that is if the store allows me to use the coupons.

If this does work, guess where I will be buying my coupons from now on will be?

Happy Savings everyone!
