I Heart Price Chopper's Coupon Policy, here's why.....

I just returned from a date with Price Chopper and boy was it not only good, but memorable.  I saved a total of $113.59 consisting of $25.86 in Advantage Savings and $87.73 in coupons - yup you read correct!

1 package of Cottonelle toilet paper

2 packages of Scott's Extra Soft toilet paper

2 packages of Glad Ware containers

1 package of Blue Bunny Ice Cream Sandwiches

1 package of Klondike Heath Ice Cream

2 Dove Deodorants

2 Lady Speed Stick Deodorants

1 PC Ammonia

1 container Wet Ones wipes

AND, I am up to .60 cents off of gas...  Woop=woop.

What an awesome shopping trip this was.

There are five (5) double coupons up to $1.00 at Price Chopper in today's edition of the Times Union Newspaper.  If you did not get the paper today, don't sweat it.  Price Chopper has ever so kindly reproduced this coupon online and I am sharing with you.  (If you do get the paper, just think of this as additional FREE coupons to print (that is, if you need them)).

WOW, this is an AWESOME week to shop at Price Chopper.  From the Pet double coupons in their ad that came out with the Sunday paper, plus the Facebook coupon for $5 off 10 corporate products, to this - nice savings this week for my family.  How about yours?

PRICE CHOPPER on FACEBOOK (9/26 - 10/2)

If you "LIKE" Price Chopper Supermarkets on Facebook, don't forget to print your weekly coupon for $5 off any 10 Corporate Products.  If you haven't liked them yet, go now, Like them and print your coupon - then get ready and go to Price Chopper to get some really inexpensive items.

The last time Price Chopper offered this coupon I got some cheap, or almost free, products.  Items such as the following:

1.  10 Price Chopper yogurts;
2.  10 packets of Clear Value gravy (the packets are just as good as the name brand jars, and cheaper, especially with this coupon);
3.  10 cans of Clear Value chicken broth;
4.  10 cans Clear Value Chicken Noodle Soup;
5.  10 cans Clear Value Tomato Soup;
6.  10 cans Clear Value Tomato Paste;
7.  10 cans Clear Value canned vegetables.

Just to name a few.  If you are NOT a name brand conniseur, then you can get some real cheap "staple" items with this coupon.

Price Chopper is also offering DOUBLE COUPONS on all Pet coupons, up to $3.00.  These coupons are on their flyers.  If you receive a Sunday newspaper, you should have received them, if not, they may have more printed in the entrance of their stores.  I am super excited about this as I have some awesome coupons for doggie treats for Molly.  She is going to be one happy doggie this week!

K-MART: DOUBLE COUPONS up to .99 to August 21st

Kmart is doubling coupons again, though you must be a Reward Member to participate. 

Many KMART LOCATIONS across the nation are going to be doubling coupons again this week until August 21st. From the list, there are a lot of stores participating - check it out to see if yours is.  (I live in upstate New York and I am happy to announce my store is - now if I can just find some free things!)


Here is how the Kmart coupon doubles event will work:

•Only 5 coupons per customer per day

•Will double up to .99 ( meaning that a .25 = .99, .50 = .99, .75 = .99, anything above .99 will be at face value).

•You must have the SHOP YOUR WAY REWARDS program AND the cashier MUST swipe your reward’s card at the beginning of your transaction

•Does not include Kmart Store Coupons or Kmart Pharmacy Store Coupons (i.e. Kmart coupons will NOT be doubled)

•If you are using more than 5 coupons in your transaction, ONLY the first 5 coupons will be doubled.

•This event is for select participating Kmart locations until August 21st.

How Far Would You Travel To Save Money on Coupons???

Would you travel to a store outside of your “boundary” to save money???


I am an avid reader of an assortment of blogs in the blog-o-sphere, and just stumbled on a post wherein someone traveled 1 hour and 45 minutes away from their house to a store that had unlimited triple coupons. Now, for unlimited triple coupons, I think I may have ventured that as well, but really who has unlimited triple coupons nowadays? Let’s think just unlimited double coupons for now.


Ok, so that got me thinking. Hmmmm. Where I live there are only 2 major supermarkets, Price Chopper and Hannaford. Hannaford never doubles coupons and Price Chopper seldom does, but when they do, it is 2 at a time when they print in the local newspaper, and because my husband takes the paper to work every single day I have to count on him seeing the big coupon in the paper and bringing it home, or I have to count on a friend telling me. (Usually, it is the friend telling me - go figure!)


Now, after reading this article of traveling a 1 hour and 45 minute trip to a store that allowed unlimited triple coupons I started to ponder upon the idea of driving to Vermont or past Lake George as I believe that is the location of the closest Price Chopper that doubles all coupons. Both are about a 1 hour drive from my home (depending on how fast I drive and traffic of course).  So, a 1 hour trip for double coupons. Would you? Could you? Should you?


My question to you is how far would you drive for double coupons, or triple for that matter? Is it worth it or do you feel it would be a waste???  Please leave me a comment and let me know your thoughts.  I am very interested in hearing what you have got to say.

K-Mart Double Coupons: 4/4 - 4/10

I have great news to report - KMart will be doubling coupons for the week of 4/4 - 4/10.  I can't tell you how excited I am!  I sent an email to KMart customer service and here is their response:
