I was sitting on my couch Monday night as the kids had gone to sleep and my husband was at the firehouse so, it was "me time" and I was going to watch my dvr'd movies on Lifetime. All of a sudden I hear a loud truck and my doorbell rings. Well, I got up and went to my bedroom to look out the window to see what/who it was (I wasn't opening the door that late at night by myself - no way!). I see the UPS driver driving away thinking hmmm, what am I getting. Than it dawned on me. I received an email from Smile.ly last week indicating I was one of the 100 to win a case of Vita Coco coconut water. Yeah! A new refreshing drink to try.
So here is my opinion. Firstly, the drink is definately better cold then warm, which it clearly says so on each drink box, but I was so excited to try, I shook it good then poored in a cup and drank. The drink does not have an after-taste which was remarkable and enjoyable. It was divine, delicious and refreshing. My 3 year old LOVED the tangerine flavored coconut water. My favorite would have to be the pineapple flavored. The two combined = yum-e!
I am sure this would make a fabulous addition to a mixed drink, though haven't tried it yet.
I am not sure that I will purchase this drink as it is only available through Amazon at a cost that does not fit into our family budget.
I am very thankful I was able to give my feedback on this product as my family did enjoy it, but not enough for the splurge.
Apparently, this is the new drink amongst the stars, but on their salary, they can afford it!
