Tiny Prints: Holiday Card Campaign

I LOVE Christmas and everything about it. It’s about family coming together and celebrating the birth of Jesus. I love decorating my home, going out with my family every year to pick our Christmas Tree the day after Thanksgiving and the beginning of December, going with hot cocoa in hand to cut it down. Another huge thing for me to do is share our year of activities with our friends and family through Christmas Cards. I am a huge proponent and fan of sending cards. With the internet being as huge as it is, I still feel the time you take to prepare a card and send to someone has more meaning than sending a “happy holiday email” to someone.

I am no different as I LOVE to receive holiday cards from our friends and family, especially those who live far away. I love seeing pictures of their family and reading the notes inside the cards and sharing those with my family.

Our holiday cards are displayed on our pantry door in the kitchen for everyone to see. We celebrate Christmas Eve in our house having our family and friends over, and where we display the cards, they are enjoyed by everyone. Where do you display your cards??

Have you ever heard of Tiny Prints??? For 2 years now I have prepared and ordered our Christmas cards through Tiny Prints and have been extremely pleased to say the least with their product. This year is no different.

This is the card we ordered last year through Tiny Prints and not only did we love it, but so did everyone on our holiday list, both far and near.  I was able to show pictures of my family throughout the year on the card and have a note written on the inside of blessings passed on to all.  The ease of making the card, to finalizing it, then ordering was easy.  The software on the site walked you through the process with ease.  It made it that much better to create your memories to share with all.  The cards were received in prompt time too.

This year is no different with who we are ordering through, Tiny Prints all the way, though the card design will be a little different.  After looking through hundreds and I mean hundreds of designs, I have it narrowed down to one.  That one is the Tri-Fold Holiday Card.  I love it and will love my 3 childrens pictures making the card up for everyone to enjoy.  This is a front and back side card which will allow pictures on both sides.  I love uploading pictures of my family for all to share and especially love a more personable holiday card.  It is worth the .44 cents to send to everyone just one time a year.

Business Cards: The Necessity For All Blog Conferences

I was provided the opportunity to write a post on one of three choices pertaining to business cards.  I had a hard time choosing, though thought I would write on a good question:

What is one thing you wish you'd known before heading to a blog conference?

While I am not a "newbie" to blogging, nor am I a "pioneer", I do know one thing never ever to forget.....business cards!

The very first conference I ever went to was Cook's Ham sponsored by Price Chopper.  There were approximately 20 of us bloggers there, it was local and smaller in size compared to some of the bigger conferences, and I met some wonderful blogging friends, all of whom passed out business cards.  Guess what?  I had nothing, nada, zilch.  I felt embarrassed and like I didn't fit in, though I did and everyone understood.  I was that newbie after all.

Tiny Prints: Mother's Day Campaign

How are you rewarded for being a Mom?  I am rewarded every single day when I wake up to my beautiful three children and blessed throughout the day, each and every day, through the trials and errors of the choices I need to make as being a Mom.  No one ever told me that being a Mom would be the most challenging, demanding, lack of sleep job, non compensating, endless hours job I would have.  Thank goodness someone out there, whomever it may be, gave us our own special day, Mother's Day, as we deserve it!  Each and everyone of us. 

I was given the question, "what do your kids think make you awesome", or through my kids mouth, "what makes mommy awesome"?

I want to say because I am the best MOM in the world and regardless of if I don't let them do something, or take something away, or say "no", when they want something, or have to be tough at times, that the decisions I make are decisions that I feel at that time are the best decisions I can give.  I want to believe they will say I am awesome because I am fun, and love to spend time with them, making crafts with them, coaching them in baseball, reading them bed time stories, are always there for them in the middle of the night when they have a nightmare, or develop a fever, or are just afraid to sleep by themselves.  I also want to think they would say because I ride bikes with them, love to shop with them (many toy store runs), teach them how to cook, take them to the park, or have picnics in our backyard.  However, I thought that question would be best answered by my three kids:

Brendan's response:  because she is understanding and listens to what I say and want, has fun and helps me when I need it....  (age 18)

Kylie's response: because she always take care of me and stuff...  (age 8)

Emma's response:  because I like everything she does... (age 4)

So, how would your kids answer the above question?  It's something I am glad I asked my kids.  As a MOM, you automatically believe your the best in your kids eyes; however, to actually get their answer, is quite touching.

Now lets see, I do have fond memories of teachers who were important in my life, though I have more fond memories of the teachers in my childrens' lives.  There is 1 in particular, Mrs. LoPresti.

My son, Brendan, just graduated high school this past June.  In June, he received an envelope, addressed to himself, in his own writing.  I was excited in finding out what was inside and better yet, who sent it.  When he arrived home from school, I quickly handed him the envelope and to that, a grin appeared on his face, a grin of excitement and of course, wondering?  Hmm, what is this, or when did I do this?  I have saved alot of my son's work from Pre-school up to now, so to see his handwriting after all these years, it was a joy.

Brendan opened up the letter and it was from his 3rd Grade Teacher, Mrs. LoPresti.  How awesome is this.  What a creative, kind thing to do.  She had her entire class write a note to themselves about what was going on in their lives at that point, who was the President, everything.  It was 2 pages of joy - pure joy, to both Brendan and us as parents.

Both Brendan and I will never forget Mrs. LoPresti for doing that.  She has really made an impact in not only Brendan's life, but mine as a parent as well.  I look forward to my daughter, Kylie, who is going into 3rd grade at the same school Brendan attended, hopefully getting Mrs. LoPresti as a teacher. 

Teachers make a huge impact on children these days and I am very blessed of not only Mrs. LoPresti, but all of the wonderful teachers my children have gotten and will get.
